The annual Charity Race was once again held at the beautiful facilities of RC Landia, in Scandiano, in the region of Emilia Romagna in Italy. More than 100 drivers joined the race in multiple classes, with the main purpose being to collect money for a local children's hospital!
In the 1/12 open modified category, I managed to put my X12 2018 car on the TQ spot after 3 perfect runs to secure overall TQ. My team mate Bui Khounmy had a great run in qualfying as well, winning Q4, to eventually line up 2nd on the grid! Andrea Valerio just started racing 1/12 with X12, and could enjoy a great qualifying to 5th!
The finals started well for me with a win in A1, which I was also able to repeat in A2, with a big margin. I also managed to set a new sub-ten second track record, which really showed the speed of the car at this high speed and high grip track!
Bui did well in the finals to claim the 3rd and final podium spot! Andrea had to settle for 8th overall after some touch luck in the finals! Overall a great result for XRAY in the 1/12 class.

Charity race 2017 2.0 was held in RC Landia track in Scandiano on 2-3 December. Race was organised to have GT12, 1/12, Formula, 13.5 Touring, and Modified category. 120+ participants were present to race and gather money for children in need.
I arrived to track on friday for some practise. Track conditions were very challenging with very bumpy sections, also super high grip. It was not easy to find the right balance on car setup. After qualifications I found myself in 2nd position behind Max.
In finals I make some mistakes and let Max pull away, could not challange him for the win. At the end, I finished the race 2nd. 3rd position was Simone Aleotti, also driving Xray.
