Made the trip to the track where I first started RC racing 9 years ago, at Barnstormers RC in Chester, NY. First impressions were refreshing, with some fresh paint on the walls, better sealed windows and a re-treated track surface. Also a nice touch to start the morning off on a good note was coffee and donuts for the racers. Everyone was happy to be there, ready for a good day of racing. Ran into some old faces from many years ago when I was newer to racing. In terms of track surface, it was similar to something you'd see in 1/8, hard packed and a smooth but slightly rocky groove. Qualifying went pretty well, got a TQ in 4wd and a 2nd in 2wd.
Was testing different tire combinations for the new track conditions to help out racers at the track and encourage others to make the trip in the near future. For the mains, 4wd main, had an exciting battle for the lead as track conditions became more slick. Ultimately, keeping a cool head and putting in a consistent run would allow me to take the win!

I had a solid performance in 2wd, held onto a consistent 2nd throughout. I look forward to making the trip back in a couple of weeks to support a local multi-track point series.
