The 2019 Psycho Nitro Blast is in the books!! The race had 750 entries which is the largest 1/8 race in the world. Practice starts at 6am Friday and goes to 6am Saturday morning. I chose to practice Friday and sleep at night so I wouldn´t have to change my sleep pattern. Some guys chose to stay up all night. I know one guy that was up for the whole event and didn´t sleep at all - 6am Friday until Sunday night at midnight!!
My XB8 buggies were really close from the start. I changed just a few things I was ready for qualifying.
Saturday I was able to TQ all 3 rounds of plus 40 nitro buggy, 2 of 3 in plus 40 e buggy and make the B main in pro ebuggy.
For Sunday my mains weren´t up until later in the afternoon so slept in a little, 8am lol, went over my cars and get tires ready. The first main was the pro e buggy b main. It started off a little rough with me making some mistakes but by the end I was in a 5 way battle for the bump spot. I wound up just missing the A main by less than a second. The next main up was my plus 40 e buggy. They had watered the track and I thought I'd need a softer tire but I wound up being too soft and my car was really slimy on the track but I was able to hang on to the win!

The last main was my plus 40 nitro buggy main. I led most of the race but about 3/4 of the way through it seemed like I couldn´t catch a break and wound up finishing second. I had the speed to win but luck was not on my side.
